So you think you're fit? It's time to find out how fit.... Prove Your Fitness!
The 2015 CrossFit Games season is almost upon us. The journey begins with the CrossFit Open, one of the largest and certainly the most inclusive fitness/sport competition in the world. 2015 could see anywhere from 250,000 to 500,000 people compete over a five week period. People from all walks of life, of all fitness levels and from all over the world are able to compete and compare themselves with the fittest athletes on the planet. It's time to Prove Your Fitness!
The Open commences on Thursday the 26th of February and finishes on Saturday the 30th of March.
During the CrossFit Open, CrossFit HQ releases one unknown workout each week for 5 consecutive weeks. Workouts are released each Thursday and participants must submit their scores by Sunday of the same week. Workouts can either be done on your own, filmed and submitted online or they can be judged and your scores verified at a registered CrossFit affiliate.
The workouts are designed to test your overall fitness, providing a platform for finding the fittest in your gym, your country, your region and the world! This means the workouts will test your strength, power, speed, stamina, endurance, skill, accuracy, flexibility and agility. You can expect to be pushed and challenged in unexpected ways each week. You will discover how you truly stack up!
CrossFit City Road is a registered affiliate and is located within GymBox Old St. We will be judging and verifying scores during the 2015 CrossFit Open. You can have your CrossFit Open workouts judged during our Saturday morning class.
How can you set yourself up to participate in the CrossFit Open at CrossFit City Road located at Gym box Old St?
- Upscale your Gymbox membership to linked (check with Gymbox sales about this ) for the month. (Unnecessary if an Old St. or Bank member)
- Register on the CrossFit Games site right here at Crossfit Games
- Register with CrossFit City Road for the duration of the Games CrossFit City Road
- Train hard, eat and sleep well, make sure you give it your all!
That's all you need to do to prove your fitness. Follow the steps above and after five weekends you'll find where your true strengths and weaknesses lie. We'll be posting plenty more information on the Open in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!
