"I train 6-7 times a week. It sounds like a lot, but I thinks it’s healthy to be active every day. I do somewhere between 40 minutes to an hour per session, which isn’t a huge sacrifice. Even though I’m busy, I always find the time.
I’ve been training regularly for a few years now as well as eating properly - I’ve definitely noticed a difference. I feel like I have more energy and I’m more able to enjoy life. I’m fairly new to Gymbox - so far so good! I really like the concept, it boasts some good ideas. I also like that it attracts a certain clientele, so people in the gym have similar goals. I try to focus on my training and not get too distracted, which can be hard sometimes! Once when I did get distracted I slipped off the treadmill and knocked the guy off next me - was funny but painful!
I think looking good when you train shouldn’t be that important, but I’d like to think I look good all the time. I don’t have a favourite workout outfit, but you never know... As far as classes go, I do enjoy a spin class, but that’s about it. I’m a big sweater and it never fails me.
As far as other interests? To be honest my training is my biggest hobby. I really enjoy seeing improvements I’m making. It’s worth all the hard work. I don’t see going to the gym as an excuse to indulge, like some people might. Eating junk food and drinking excessively isn’t a sustainable lifestyle, and I don’t think people should think by going to the gym so they can live unhealthy. It doesn’t really make sense.
I tend to load up with food after a hard workout... which is my biggest meal of the day. I eat pretty much what I want, so long as it fits my macros! My guilty pleasure, however, has to be a bacon sarnie with loads of ketchup! Delicious!"
