After two previously sold-out parties ‘Gymbox presents...’ returns on the 9th September with 'The Last Days of Disco'. You know, just your average strobe-lit, glitter-fuelled homage to Studio 54 in a massive East London location, playing the sexiest edits and disco classics all night long. However, make a note of 10th and 12th of September also, as these are your important recovery days.
Returning to the stage after their wild and energetic performance at our ‘Concrete Jungle’ party last year, dance-infused indie band ‘Youth Club’ are back from their sold out UK tour, with an authentic sound of the summer – plus a little disco tribute of their own.
Playing alongside tropical pop band ‘Youth Club’, we also have some of UK’s finest DJ talents to set the dance-floor on fire. One such talent is 80’s Child (aka Danny Worrell),who is a true Child of the 1980’s. He was raised on a strict diet of Toto, Prince, Michael McDonald, Hall & Oates and Michael Jackson, and is sounding damn fine on it, too. Danny’s label 'Masterworks Music' has gained support from the like of disco edits maestros Greg Wilson, Dimitri From Paris, OOFT! and Late Nite Tuff Guy.
Joining Danny is the First Lady of Nu-Disco and The Queen of the re-edit, Bad Barbie, and our very own ultra glam Jonathan Bestley. So expect non-stop disco dancing until the wee early hours. We hope you’re getting your training in, you’re going to need your stamina. No excuses.
And this isn’t all. You can also expect our usual trademark Gymbox party shenanigans, with just a little extra sparkle, as we take you on a journey back to the last days of disco – 1979 style!
And they said disco was dead…
