Biography

Since the tender age of seven, Firas has been a competitive sportsman at both national and international levels. This led him to find his passion in American Football fifteen years ago, and has since continued to win numerous championships as both a player and coach, all whilst finishing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering.


He teaches across all the Gymbox clubs, in a variety of classes from Frame Fitness to Bike and Beats, bringing his enthusiasm and camaraderie to all his classes. You can count on him to bring out the inner athlete in you!

Q&A

How does Gymbox as a brand reflect your personality?

It's about hard work but it's not mainstream, it's a little weird and rough around the edges. That's me.

What music style describes you?

I'll listen to anything, from House to Country, but if you were to look in my iPod you'd mostly see Hip-Hop, there might be the odd Britney track (or three) in there too.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Sweets, I'll go into the sweetshop and walk out with pockets full of sour candy. My dentist is definitely NOT my favourite person.

What is your favourite thing about Gymbox?

Anything goes ... you could be in at 7am one morning trying to struggle your way out of a headlock and the next day you're at one with the world in a Chaturanga pose. It's crazy, it's manic but it's controlled chaos and it's wicked!

Who is your favourite rockstar?

I can't single out one artist, but the ones that most regularly feature in my playlists are probably Lil Wayne, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, James Brown and of course Michael Jackson.
