Frequently Asked Questions

GYMBOX is famous for running the best and most creative studio timetable in the country. To secure a place on your favourite class we offer advanced booking through the Gymbox App.

Members can book studio classes online from 10:00am, 3 days in advance. The booking system will not allow a member to book onto classes that overlap each other.

Please note that to ensure full attendance, we operate a “3 strikes” booking system, whereby three no-shows or late attendances in any 30 day period will result in a one-week advance booking restriction; please always ensure you cancel your class booking no later than one hour in advance of the class time, if you are no longer able to attend.

If a class is full you will be given the option to book onto a waiting list. Once on the waiting list, you are committing to attend and could be auto booked into the class up to 1 hour before the booking start time. When moved into the class, you will be notified via email. If you decide you can no longer attend, please remove yourself from the waiting list at least one hour before the class start time, or a strike will be applied in line with our cancellation policy. In the case that you get auto-booked onto a class you did not cancel on time and the class is ultimately full, you will not receive a strike, however that isn’t assured.

Please ensure to check-in at least 5 minutes before the class start time. If you gain entry to the club without successfully checking in, or you arrive late, your booking may be automatically removed from the class and opened up to other members at the class start time. For clubs that have turnstiles, you are automatically checked in once you get through, for the other clubs, you will need to check in at reception.

We advise that you check your attendance on the iPads located outside each studio before the class starts. If your name is in yellow, you are attended. If your name is in red, you’ll need to attend yourself manually by entering the last 4 digits of your phone number. If your name is no longer on the iPad, and there is still space in the class, you must book back into the class by entering your full membership number. Your membership number can be found in the email sent when you signed up, but also can be found in the GYMBOX App when logged in under the “Accounts” section from the main drop down menu. Alternatively, you can ask for it at reception.

How to register your online account:

The fastest way to register is explained within your welcome email received when signing up, but if you’re having trouble locating that then you can visit the Members’ section on the website where you will be required to verify some details.

If you have any further issues please ask at the reception desk or call the club to assist you. Club Contact Details

Non-members can use GYMBOX on a day pass for a cost of between £20-£25. All non-members will be asked for a valid form of ID and to complete an exercise waiver prior to entry.

All GYMBOX Members receive 5 Guest Passes upon signing up, the Guest Passes will expire after 12 months from the date they are applied, and any unused Guest passes will no longer be valid once expired. However our members benefit from 5 new guest passes each year on the anniversary of their join date. Members are able to use these guest passes for non-members only.

To arrange a guest pass, Members are required to provide 24 hours notice to a GYMBOX club prior to entry. All non-members will be asked for a valid form of ID and to complete an exercise waiver prior to entry.

Towels are available for club users on each visit. When finished with your towel, please throw them in the towel bins provided in the changing rooms.

Lockers are provided to store your personal belongings in whilst training. Apart from in the Ealing club (where the lockers are coded), Members must provide their own padlock; we recommend a combination lock, to avoid carrying a key around whilst using the gym. You may supply your own padlock, or you can purchase one at reception.

For any day lockers that are left padlocked overnight the club will cut the lock and remove items from the locker.

If you are tired of having to lug the old gym bag to work each day, permanent lockers are available to hire (subject to availability). Please speak to reception to find out about locker availability at your club, or for more information please contact the member services team here.

Package Change
A Member may apply to make changes to their membership at any point such as upgrading to a multi-club membership, changing your home club, adding locker hire etc. You can do so via an online request through here.

A membership can be frozen at £20 per month, and for a maximum of 6 months at any one time. GYMBOX will freeze free of charge if a member is sick, injured or pregnant (medical proof will be required). The notice period as well as the freeze length can be adjusted according to the medical needs.
