Promotion terms & conditions

Promos are great, but they do come with a few rules. Here’s what you need to know to get the most out of our offers. 

1. general rules

  • Promotions are only valid for the specific membership type and term stated in the offer.

     

  • We cannot honour expired or outdated promotions. 

     

  • If you receive a promotional offer by email or through our marketing after you’ve already joined, it will not apply to your existing membership.

     

  • Promotional offers cannot be carried over if you place your membership on freeze.

     

  • If you cancel your membership early (before completing the minimum term set out in your membership agreement), we reserve the right to recover the value of any promotional benefit you received (e.g., free months and/or discounted rates).

     

  • If you choose to extend or renew your membership, you won’t be able to use a promotion that was available when you first joined. Only the promotions active at the time of your renewal may apply, if eligible, and these may differ from offers available to new members.

  • Members who join Gymbox through a corporate invoiced partnership or scheme may have promotional offers, pricing, or referral incentives agreed directly between Gymbox and their employer. These arrangements are managed separately and may be different to those promotion and referral offers listed below, unless explicitly stated. 

2. Free Promotional Months/Days

Some promotions include free time at the start of your membership. This is added on top of your minimum term. 

Example Promotion: You sign up for a 12-month membership and receive “rest of the month” free, your contract runs for approx. 12.5 months in total depending on your agreement start date. 

Scenario: Your membership starts on 10th September, your free period covers 10th September – 30th September. From 1st October your paid 12-month minimum term begins. Your membership will then run until 30th September of the following year (provided you don’t freeze your membership or make any other adjustments to your minimum term). After this, it will automatically continue on a monthly rolling basis, cancellable with one full calendar months’ notice. 

3. Referral Scheme

The Gymbox Refer a Friend campaign rewards existing Gymbox members (the referrer) when they successfully refer a new member (the referee) to join Gymbox.

To qualify, the referee must enter the referrer’s unique referral code at the point of sign-up. 

Referrals cannot be added after sign-up. The offer is only valid when the referee joins on a 12-month membership, and the reward will be applied 14 days after the referee’s membership start date.

There is no limit to the number of people a member can refer, but each new member can only be referred by one referrer.

The referrer receives £50 credit applied to their Gymbox membership account. This credit cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
