hyperice recovery zones

Hyperice and chill, anyone?

wtf is a recovery zone?

To help you recover faster, move better, and train harder, we’ve kitted out clubs with high-spec Hyperice gear. The same stuff elite athletes swear by.

Welcome to the Hyperice Recovery Zone: Gymbox’s self-serve sanctuary of science backed recovery tools, built for people who don’t do half measures. This is your post-workout ritual, your midweek rescue, your “please fix my hamstrings” toolkit.

If you’ve ever staggered out of a HYROX class or leg day with regret in your glutes, this is where you go to bounce back.

what's in the zone?

Percussive Foam Rollers

Next-level myofascial release. Reduces muscle tension, improves circulation, and boosts mobility, with vibration to double down on the benefits.

Percussive Therapy Guns
Rapid pulses of pressure for deep muscle relief. Breaks up knots, reduces tightness, and speeds up recovery. Basically a sports massage without the small talk.

Vibrating Massage Balls
Pinpoint pressure in hard-to-reach spots like glutes, calves, and shoulders. Small but mighty.

Normatec Compression Boots (With Armchairs)
Dynamic air pressure massages your legs, promotes lymphatic drainage, reduces muscle fatigue and improves circulation. Slip into the chair, switch on, zone out.

get in the zone pre-workout

These tools aren’t just about recovering after a session, they’re just as powerful for getting prepped before one.

Use the Recovery Zone pre-class or pre-lift to:

  • Loosen tight areas
  • Fire up your muscles
  • Improve range of motion
  • Boost circulation
  • Get your nervous system in the zone

Whether you’re gearing up for a heavy lift, a sprint session, or HYROX carnage, this kit primes your body to move better.

zone out post-workout

That’s where the real magic happens.

Once you’ve gone all in on your session, the Recovery Zone helps you:

  • Soothe sore muscles
  • Flush out lactic acid and waste
  • Calm your nervous system
  • Reduce inflammation and tightness
  • Promote faster muscle repair

You’ve done the work, now give your body the tools to bounce back stronger, faster and pain-free.

Gymbox Finsbury Park Recovery Lounge
Percussive vs. Compression: What’s the Deal?

Percussive Therapy
Uses fast, targeted pulses to stimulate deep muscle tissue. Great for breaking up tight spots, boosting circulation, and speeding up recovery or activation.

Compression Therapy
Uses dynamic air pressure to massage limbs, promote drainage, reduce fatigue and flush out waste. Ideal for tired legs and recovery after high-intensity work.

faqs

How long should I use each tool for?

Foam roll for 5–10 minutes, hit 30–60 seconds per muscle group with the massage gun, and chill in the Normatec boots for up to 20–30 minutes. Listen to your body — it usually knows.

Absolutely. Hyperice have their own app which you can download to follow set programmes. Or get in touch with Personal Trainer who can help you out with this.

Depends on the injury. Recovery tools can help, but they’re not a replacement for physio. Speak to a coach or a pro if something doesn’t feel right.

Yes! This is just one of the perks of training somewhere that takes recovery seriously.

Nope. Just roll up, grab what you need, and get stuck in. It’s first come, first served so be nice, share the boots.

Absolutely. Stack your tools. Foam roll + Compression Boots = chef’s kiss for leg day recovery. Just make sure others get a turn too.
